I am a sucker for….movie outakes. I was stuck on a plane this week and got to watch New Year’s Eve. The best part of this movie is honestly the credits. Not going to lie, I am slightly hypnotized by Zac Efron’s dance skills. Becky Cusack- if you are reading this - I think you will sympathize.
I don’t talk about it all that much but unfortunately my mom passed away about 4 years ago from a rare form of cancer. It was a really tough time in my life and I think for the first couple of years after I completely tried to block it out.
Since I have had my daughter Ava though, I have really started to process her being gone as I literally think about her every day. There are so many times when I wonder how my mom would have done something, how I was such a brat or how she did this FIVE times? Count ‘em…I am one of 5 and I wouldn’t consider myself or any of my brothers or sisters easy.
I always remember this picture from when I was a little when I had this god awful haircut and I used to think, “how could my mom do this to me?”.

I took Ava for her first haircut today and while I was half watching her brother, I didn’t notice what her “aesthetician”, Esther, was doing. When I looked up, my poor daughter had lost her cute little shag and was instantly Shiloh Jolie-Pitt (sorry to my intellectual friends for the deep US weekly reference).

I just want to say to you mom- I get it now. You were doing the best that you could and 99.99% of the time you were awesome.
Happy Mom’s day to all! I hope you get some quality time with your kids and some mommy time to watch the Bravo show of your choosing.

Ava and daddy took a shopping trip today while I caught up on some work. Looks like someone was a good girl. :)
And of course, I can’t forget Park.

Thanks Vic for continuing on your quest for Dad of the Year. Couldn’t do it without you.

Love this new bag from J.Crew.
I do a lot of videos for my work and am always on the hunt for inspiration. I’m LOVING a lot of the ones that have come out of the Google Chrome team lately. I’m such a girl.
It’s very rare these days that I am up on any cool place to go to in SF but I went to Southern Pacific Brewing last night in the Mission and it was awesome. Great beer, really cool space and tasty unusual bar food.

Sweater sets need not apply. Definitely need to rock your Raybans and skinny jeans at this joint.
I know he looks like Beetlejuice + Edward Scissorhands combined but I love Jack White. His new song, Love Interruption, is awesome.
Leave it to my southern bestie “May-gan” to send me the cutest toile apron ever. Now I just need to start cooking again!

Check out the full site here. It’s by Jessie Steele and she’s got some great stuff!

I am loving all of the bold patterns that are coming out this spring. Check out this super cute dress by Pim + Larkin. Only $69 bucks too.
Also loving this Trink Turk number. A little more pricey but could be great for wedding season.

It seems I have a love/hate relationship with the entire Paltrow-Martin clan. I really want to be over Coldplay but their new(ish) album, Mylo Xyloto, is pretty darn good.

In an effort to reach my BMI, I’m trying to not eat carbs after lunch. All this means is that I eat ridiculous things at lunch like Coldstone and my latest discovery, the cookies at Batter Bakery. If you are in the Russian Hill area, you gotta check it out. I am a huge fan of the “Sand Angel” which is a sweet/salty snickerdoodle.

I bought a pair of Sperry Top-Siders yesterday. Tomorrow I’ll be eating dinner at 4:30. :)
